me went, me saw, me likey!
so i slept at 5am today… and woke up at 8am…
felt zombie-ish heh…
why?
coz i came back a couple hours before i slept and had to wake up early to pack my stuff, get my luggage ready, wait for Sze Ming to pick me up and head over to DUMC for Sunday Morning Service!!!
DUMC!!!! FINALLY!!!!!
but Sze Ming was late… expectantly… and we reached DUMC around… 45 mins late. couldn’t experience DUMC’s worship session in the end sigh… but hey, at least we made it :]
DUMC’s in this theater called the “Dream Theater”. and as it’s name implies, it’s a THEATER able to accommodate more than 3000 ppl, i think. and it’s huge. i sat at in the furthest row, on the upper level seats. and yes, they have 2 floors of seats. lower floor was EASILY full with 800 people in a go.

but there was an invited speaker today and its 
Rev. Mark Greene who came all the way from England :]
he’s a really witty person in nature and was excellent in bringing the whole congregation into a cheery mood during his sermon.
he’s referred to as a spectacular Mr. Bean impersonator and yes, he did impersonate Mr. Bean for a bit before his sermon :]
he shared abt bringing God’s glory to the workplace, rejoice in a good day’s work n encouraging others thru blessings.
what he meant was that God isn’t an Almighty person who always looks over our shoulder, keeping us in check and making us feel morbid in executing His will.
Rev. Greene mentioned that it’s totally fine to rejoice, feel happy and good about yourself in going a good day’s work like God did when he created Genesis in 7 days.
other than that, the importance of work was also touched on.
Colossians 1:16 and 1:20 says that God’s interested in what we do so that he can work with us to influence the world.
i mean, if u looked at it, Peter was a fisherman, apostle Paul was a tent maker and Jesus a carpenter. through each of these men’s jobs, God did use them to touch other people’s lives.
many figures in the Bible were workers and their ministry works revolved around their work.
Everyone great of God were workers under leaders.
but is God REALLY that interested in what we’re doing?
Rev. Greene mentioned that in Genesis 2:19, God came up with animals, BUT left it to Adam to name them. he was interested in how Adam would name each and every creature He created.
aside from all that, he also shared abt the different values of work:
Instrumental Value:
it isn’'t what you do that determines its value, its in WHO you do it for. not how well you do it in but who you DEPEND on while doing it. without this mindset in mind, we wouldn’t be able to do anything that brings Him glory.
Intrinsic Value:
we creatures of God should praise God for the things we are good at. don’t feel guilty abt how God made us to be.
Strategic Value:
everything we do could be the same as how others do it, only difference in the Jesus in you whom we work for or not.
”Ministry = LOVE in action”
and Ming was dozing off during the sermon tsk3 hee…
as i’ve said, DUMC’s main sanctuary is able to host 3000 people. gosh, damn a lot kan?

and after service, Ming, Evon, myself and Ming’s frn, Jia Ling headed to One Utama for lunch and shopping wheee!
Garden’s theme is centered around well… gardens lol
they’ve got LOADS of fake flowers for decoration
and even a grand piano in front of the front desk
Jia Ling’s a soft-spoken girl who studies in Kampar
she doesn’t like shopping lol
see? a lot of fake flowers and plants kan! damn jakun that day ahahahahah!

and while shopping, i saw…

Ming needed a cap for himself coz he’s choking up Evon’s cap by sweating too much most of the time lol.
shopped for a few hours, dropped Jia Ling off at her house which took another hour and hunted for the korean bbq restaurant Ming wanted to go to which took another hour plus. great, it’s dinnertime already just after all that.
but we had something REALLLLLLLY GOOD!
keeps me feeling warm inside :]
