me went, me saw, me likey!
it’s USA VISA interview day… JENG JENG JENG! *screams!*
woke up earlier today to head over to the US Embassy down in KL. Ming forgot the way =.= and we had to make a few turns until we found the place lol.
got there, was damned nervous and had to go thru security checks. had to leave my phone behind at the guardhouse so no pics heh.
went thru body screening, took my number and then went in to take my seat along with everyone else.
why was i nervous? because mom told me too many things that may happen that would get my visa approval rejected.
she said, “moses i know u like to talk. but u MUST talk less ok? answer when asked, and DO NOT elaborate. less questions from ur interviewer, the better”
i’m scared now.
what was worse, i didn’t know much abt how the interview was going to happen, who my interviewer would be, what kind of person, did i dress right and stuff. i didn’t even know that the waiting room IS the interview room lol!
this looks like your typical post office layout right?
this is a rough layout of the visa waiting/interview room of the US Embassy
room size about 4x8 meters, kinda small ler
and there i was in the waiting room wondering where the interview room was lol.
how to interview le? the number calling board will flash ur number to indicate which counter you’re supposed to head over to for your interview.
and your interviewer? is an American Consulate (interviewer) sitting on a high chair behind a bullet-proof glass panel, talking to you thru a microphone that emits sound thru a small box speaker outside the glass panel. so this means that EVERYONE in the room can hear your interview from the counter.
no wonder Ming told me to keep a good ear on the interviews going on to listen in on to other people’s interviews to speculate on what kind of questions they might ask during my interview.
what’s worse was that the 2 people before me were rejected of their US visa.
k, terrified ady.
*ding dong* “A 86 to counter 3 please”
my turn came.
wide eyed, nervous, sweaty palmed, straightened out clothes with hands and went to counter 3.
and thank God my interviewer’s a really friendly fella who made the interview more of a casual talk session and even laughed during the interview haha.
and in less than 10 mins, he signed the approval of my visa! YAY! YAY! YAY! WHEEEEEE! THANK YOU, LORD!
after that, i walked over to KLCC (its close by hey). was soooo happy to see it after a made a turn at a corner of a building.
went straight to Kinokuniya (muahahah) and saw this lol
Confucious say…
after that, i made my way to the LRT station to make my way to Subang, where Ming is. but on the way, i stopped at Taylor’s College’s Petaling Jaya campus to see someone…
Jade Tan Man Yi!
pretty no? :] and SHE’S STILL SINGLE!!
sorry Jade, i didn’t felt like taking a pic of u that day coz it may seem rude so i stole ONE pic off ur FB :]
save the slapping for when u see me again next time k? haha
it was REALLY great seeing Jade again. haven’t seen this gal since i left KL in dec and the last time we met up was in Sunway Pyramid sometime in November, before i left. she was still bumming at home at the time after her A-levels exam finished heh.
momolaw calls Jade: “i’m here! where’re u?
Jade, “u’re here already?? oh gosh! u’re here! yay! moses! u’re
here!”
momolaw, “ahaha yeah! so where should i see u?”
Jade, “wait, where’re u 1st!”
momolaw, “i’m… i just walked out of a corridor and i see the
eating area”
Jade, “eating area… OWHHH! I’m in the eating area! wait wait!
is that you? Moses, are you wearing blue? ARE YOU
WEARING A BLUE SHIRT??
momolaw, “uhhh yeahh…”
Jade, “it IS you!! *something like a small scream lol*
talk about being REALLY happy to see me lol. i likeeee :]
and as much as Jade can be, she’s still generous with them greeting hugs she always gives :] and really, who doesn’t love hugs from caring and loving friends? i know i do :]
and when i saw Jade, she was still brimming with smiles all over and also still saying, “oh gosh!” before saying my name while greeting me lol! just look at the picture above! gotta love that smile, no? ahahaha. yes, Jade u have a winning smile, i can testify to that :]
but when i was greeting Jade back with a hug, someone screamed…
“MOSESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!” (wadda heck)
i turned towards the direction of the scream and a girl ran into me, hugged me tight as hell and clung onto my neck like a friggin monkey! i looked down at her face and turns out that female munkeh was
Renee Tiong!
sorry Renee, i stole this off from ur FB as well heheh
Renee’s from my hometown back in miri and was studying in Chung Hua before attending TCPJ. she was always seeking advice from me in handling her friends, her previous relationship and also what major to head on in. met her for the first time when i went out with a group of friends. seems like a quiet kind of girl at first but she’s quite the talker and loves hanging out with friends kind of gal.
was REALLY surprised to see her but it was also great altogether haha.
so Jade and i caught up on each other’s lives and stuff over lunch and this poor gal was stressed with assignments and upcoming finals. man, talk to her halfway ah, can see from her facial expressions showed too many things were going on in her head ah!
we talked over lunch and i was granted only and hour of her time (lunchtime) coz her class was starting soon. too bad tho, coz we’d go on talking for hours if not for her tight schedule, talking about relationships again like before hahah.
was great seeing both you girls again hey :]
i then took the train down to Subang where Ming picked me up and dropped me off in SS15, the area where i lived for 2 years during my time in Taylor’s.
first off, i went over to my old apartment.
everything was mostly the same but Timothy Kuek, my ex-housemate left home for Kuching earlier in the morning already. argh! missed him because of my interview!
saw this hanging on the wall of the apartment ahah!
still as messy as ever
only blessful blissful difference is that it didn’t smell like it did when Alexander was around :] yay!
and they even took in a small kitten, 3 weeks old
something which i would never have done lol
ahhh i miss this balcony
many thoughts have i pondered upon whilst sitting here while the world went by, clouds cast thru the sky and the security guard made his rounds
my usual spot was on the right ledge, dangerously sitting on it with my right leg dangling over the edge. lucky my apartment’s on the 1st floor :]
used to pull all nighters while studying for my History exams
i’d stand out there, with the balcony lights on, reading my notebook full of American History, a cigarette in hand, maggi in the microwave oven back in the kitchen and a mug of 2 packets of coffee sitting by the edge of the middle ledge, right beside my notebook
i stood out in the rain on this balcony once, thinking about a gal i liked named _________ ;]
random reverence indeed haha
was quite surprised to see this still here
these were the seasoning, herbs and spices i used whenever i cooked at home
and my trusty 2 litre capacity water bottle which i handed down to Tim to use when i left
the eternally messy kitchen with a mountain of trash beside the fridge, used containers strewn about, moldy bread sitting on the microwave oven as usual, unwashed plates, something possibly rotting in the fridge itself and clothes washing solution underneath the sink
kitchen, sweet kitchen :]
view from the balcony from which many a time i’d check out the pretty girls who came thru that small alleyway (in the middle) into the neighborhood heheh
and from this window in the back twin sharing room, u can always check out the people swimming in the pool.
usually it’d be some guy(s) swimming, occasional hot gal in a bikini or couples making out in the pool ahahah!
that’s Jason Chai and Timothy Kuek
Jason moved in after Alexander moved out of the room
it was also the time when i left Taylor’s ady
tim has these kind of things pasted all over the place ahaha!
must’ve been some project he was working on
unless he finally turned gay after i left
also met my old roommate, Pejoe (in red)
dude still owed me RM135 from last year lol
and only had RM120 in hand
but hey, i’m a nice guy, so i took all he had ahahah!
view from the ADP building
see the road in the middle? that leads to my old apartment
one thing i still wondered abt my apartment tho…
why the heck is it called
PANGSAPURI APARTMENT SUBANG JAYA???
*momo makes phone call to the police at 3am*
momolaw, “hai. Nama saya Moses. saya mau buat aduan la. rumah yang ada kat luar apartment saya AMAT bising. diorang tu kan, tengah parti and buka muzik besar gila!”
Subang Jaya police, “ok, boleh tak saya dapatkan alamat tuan?”
momolaw, “alamat saya… Jalan SS15/6, Pangsapuri Apartment, Subang Jaya”
Subang police, “yala, saya tau Apartment tu Pangsapuri dalam Bahasa Inggeris. tapi apa alamat tuan?”
momolaw, “zzzzz………… *repeat and explain to no avail*
the police never came to break up the party full of African students from Metropolitan College and it went on till 5:30am
how i knew? i couldn’t sleep and stayed up surfing the net and fuming instead :]
met Albert Ling (in blue) who now works in the ECA center of Taylor’s too. he’s getting married this year end!!
CONGRATS ALBERT! and sorry i can’t make it to the wedding!
Albert says to momo, “I’M GONNA GET LAID!!”
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
it’s a guy thing :]
and lastly, i met…
*sorry Alyssa, stole this from ur FB as well heheh*
Alyssa Lim before i left Subang. she’s from Penang and loves to eat ahaha! and stays thin after eating so much! but overall, Alyssa’s a really nice gal who bought me Rm80+ SEED Works shirt which i REALLY like as a parting gift when i left last year in December.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! and yes, i’m still wearing the shirt heheh :]
